UK Online Purchase Cancellation Rights
This page explains statutory cancellation rights for eligible UK online purchases from SMC Traders. These rights are separate from our voluntary 30-day returns policy. Statutory rights take precedence over any conflicting voluntary-policy wording.
How to cancel
Tell us within 14 days after delivery that you wish to cancel an eligible purchase. You do not need to give a reason or wait for our approval. You then have another 14 days to return the goods.
Email smctraders74@gmail.com with your order number and a clear cancellation statement. Contact us for the applicable return instructions.
Refunds and inspection
We refund within 14 days after receiving returned goods, including any standard outbound delivery charge. Extra charges for an enhanced delivery service are excluded. Refunds go to the original payment method.
You may inspect goods as you would in a shop. Handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning may result in a deduction for diminished value. Original packaging and an unused condition are not blanket requirements for exercising statutory cancellation rights.
Exceptions and postage
Applicable exceptions include personalised goods and sealed products unsuitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed. Customers normally pay change-of-mind return postage where disclosed before purchase. Faulty, incorrect or misdescribed goods have separate rights, unaffected by this page.
Optional cancellation form
You may copy this form into an email; using it is optional.
